Invitation to Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM)

You are invited to attend an EGM of Otley Under Fives Centre.

This second EGM follows the previous one on 18 July 2025, due to the ongoing issue of not having enough committee members, particularly a Chair. Without these roles filled, the committee cannot meet its obligations to the setting or governing bodies.

The Local Authority allowed the committee to continue temporarily while seeking a Chair. However, the final deadline passed at 17:00 on 19 July with no suitable nominations. As a result, the committee is no longer able to function in its current form and had to take the difficult decision to close the setting for the last 2 days of term.

To ensure that we conform with our statutory obligations this EGM shall consider the way forward and determine the next steps.
